Knoend Knoend is an ecodesign company founded on principles of sustainability and innovation. Knoend develops products that incorporate the full life cycle of materials. When a product is no longer useful, many times it is simply discarded. By using materials that are biodegradable, recyclable, or reusable, Knoends designs will lessen landfill waste. Knoend creates products that are environmentally responsible, always having that ‘next cycle’ in mind.
Knoends products incorporate sustainable technologies and materials. We are making every effort to ensure our products and manufacturing methods are an environmental improvement to the status quo. We will never be satisfied with our initial efforts and will constantly strive to improve our products in subsequent editions.
We will always provide the best possible value to our customers who care about environmental responsibility.
There are few products today that look beyond delivery to the consumer market. With few exceptions, most products are developed only to the point of sale. Knoends goal is to change the consumer product culture in a proactive way that will reduce manufacturing and shipping waste and provide eco-friendly solutions that extend the traditional dead-end product life-cycle. Knoend is dedicated to bringing accessible, affordable ecodesign to eco-conscious customers.
Forest Stewardship Council: What is it? Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC sets high standards that ensure forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable way.
Forest Stewardship Council: Wood & Paper Industry Even though technologies for refining post consumer pulp have improved, virgin fiber still represents a significant requirement in paper production. According to the FSC, only 35% of current consumption is met by using recycled fiber; in addition, approximately 25% of recovered fiber is exported out of US markets.
